And speaking of Kevin…man, he is definitely not a mistake. But even beyond his looks, she sees the sweet, dependable man beneath the exterior. Marketing exec Mia has a one night stand with her new neighbor Kevin, a teacher. Can’t get better than that. Mia Appleby finally has the life she always wanted.

What complicates matters is Kevin’s brother who thinks his life goal is to coast by and nail chicks and the second complication is the girl that comes knocking on Mia’s door seixest for help. The story just ended with a lot of loose ends mill hanging. Without a doubt, you should add this book to your tbr. Her own version of wham, bam, thank you man. The books doesn’t get the full 5 stars from me because at the end everything didn’t come together so well and beautiful as I imagined and the ending compared to the awesome rest of the book left jlll emotionless, cold.


I liked the characters, especially Kevin.

Kevin McNight has moved back to his old neighborhood to try and make some kind of a life for himself and his adult handicapped brother, Mike. Except that it’s not. I’ve started and stopped so many books recently, I needed one sure to please.

It was just okay. When things get intense despite her attempts to uill it simple, Mia definitely implodes a little. I hated reading about it!

Shalvis makes every obstacle worth it in the end. He knows what he wants and he went out of his way to prove it. He didn’t seem to match up with Mia all that much. This book was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Kevin is also all those things. While I liked this book, it lacks the magic that’s very present in her Lucky Harbor Series. Thanks for telling us about the problem. Couldn’t get enough of these characters. And things just get worse. She end Trusting the heart is the most sensual risk of all With a fab career, a salary that keeps her in her favorite designers, and her own condo, Mia Appleby has everything she dreamed of as a poor little girl gazing out the window of her mom’s trailer.


I appreciated her reasoning even when I knew she was heading in the wrong direction. Want to Read saving…. This new neighbor has burning eyes hee match his melt-me body, but they still don’t stop Mia from ending it the next morning, a ploy that has worked with most men. But Kevin isn’t like other men and won’t let Mia off that easy.

What or who I did enjoy was the love interest, smexy Kevin McNight who was perfect! Her old life is completely gone. Mia was determinedly independent because she didn’t want to be like her mother, always looking for a man to take care of her. It is not a part of any series so the characters were all new. The idea of opening up scared Mia to death, and she nearly destroyed her relationships with Kevin and Hope. Kevin is the one upset by Mia’s behavior. That’s usually a teenage thing, and shavis, oh, about a week.
