It took us about 10 minutes to walk to it from the train station, we had asked for directions at the station which was very helpful as I think we would have had difficulty locating it otherwise. Stairs from street to reception so difficult if you have a lot of luggage.

Check in was easy and very helpful staff. Very small lift only fits 2 people with one case each. Room was small but perfectly adequate and lovely and clean.

They do not do evening meals but do have a small bar. We woken quite early n the first morning with what sounded like refuse lorries in the street below paraceksus room. Easy walking distance to the Mirabella gardens and old town. This is a delightful little hotel but very hard to find! It is only a short walk from the train but take a map or you will miss it! It’s an above average European style hotel, very good value and an excellent breakfast.

Probably one of our favourites. We will pay a paaracelsus more for a bigger room as they are quite small.

I am the big Hotel Expert, visiting mostly four star hotels, but never below three stars. I am really very happy, when I can give high opinion of hotels I am visiting and sorry, when I have to express negative opinion. In Salzburg I was some years ago in the four star Hotel Imlauer and I am sorry I selected this time Markus Sittikus, officially the four star hotel, which, by my opinion, deserves no more than three stars. I booked and paid the Standard Single room with Breakfast by Galahotels, of which I am regular customer.

I am always sending an e-mail before my arrival, asking the Reception to confirm my reservation. I did it this time as well and I got a very kind reply, that a good room is waiting for me. I came to the hotel on Sept.

I got the key not a card! OK, I said, and took the lift to the fourth floor. The first thing I saw, when I arrived there, paracelus a big box with dirty linen, as the chamber maid was still making the rooms.

I can understand they have to put it somewhere, but probably not in front of the lift door, so the first impression of the new visitor is lavabbo really great!

I went to the door of the room 48 and intended to enter, but the cleaning Lady stopped me, saying, that my room hasn’t parafelsus made yet, as the previous guest s had late departure.

It was about 2. She phoned to the reception, if she could give me one of those rooms, but the receptionist ordered her to prepare my room 48 and I had to wait additional half hour. So, it was almost 3 pm, when I could enter “my room”. It was two bed room and I paid parscelsus Single one!

OK, it happened many times I got a two bed room instead of the single one.

It loooked well, together with the bathroom shower only and no toilleteries, except soap at lavabo and liquid soap-shampoo by the shower! I couldn’t find them. I phoned to the reception and it was Lady now, who replied, that noone of their rooms has mini bar, as there is the guest room by the reception with a big fridge barwhere the guests can have the drinks and pay them, of course.

There was no safe in the room! The next morning I met in the Reception the “Chefin”, who was familiar with “my story”. Before my departure I lavxbo to her my card and she gave me her name, as she doesn’t have her card Anna Sigl. She said I had the safe in the room and I said it was not true. Then she sent with me one of her staff to check and she really didn’t find the safe. She promised to bring it the same day, but I didn’t get it at all. Mrs Sigl was quite unpleasant and “stolz”, when I told her I am evaluating hotels I am visiting for Tripadvisor and I will write a complaint.

She said I could write whatever and whenever I want, she doesn’t care lacabo it! She said that in Austria the four star hotels have no mini bar in their rooms. I said it was not true, as I always had mini bar in Austrian paraceelsus star hotels, even in some three star ones.

Later I went to the reception of Imlauer hotel also four starswhich is just about meters from Markus Sittikus, and they confirmed me, that all their rooms Luxury and Standard have mini bar.

I am welcome back next time!

She didn’t care, when I said I was never coming back, as all Salzburg hotels are obviously always full. I stayed for three nights in Markus Sittikus and when I analyzed the room’s image more in details, I realized it was nothing specilal, certainly not four star but three star standard, a mixture of everything with – above the two beds – a kind of ugly for me!

Very good, but every day the same – with all kinds of cold food and hot boiled and scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, fruit salad, yogourts, different kinds of breads and “semmelns”, cold meat and cheese and good juices. The coffee from machine was very good.

Did I miss something with breakfast? Yes, I did; this were some dry meat proschiutto or speck and some fish, e. Yes, it relativelly was.

I paid about 76 euros per night, including breakfast, and I paid a month ago the same quality four star Berlin Mark Hotel in Berlin nearby Zoo station and Ku’damm – for Bed and Breakfast – around 42 euros. And i lavsbo mini bar in the room!

Quite a difference, nicht war?! Best regards Vladimir Frantar, Prof. We enjoyed our paraacelsus in this centrally-located hotel near Mirabelle garden. It was unfortunately quite hot during our time there in July, with no air conditioning, oh well.

Breakfast was excellent, cheerful and set us up well for an active walk-filled morning. We also enjoyed the sitting room area.

Small but friendly – Review of Hotel Markus Sittikus, Salzburg, Austria – TripAdvisor

Staff let us “park” our suitcases until the room was ready. They provide a warm welcome, were adept with English, and we would certainly stay there again at a cooler time of year! The staff seemed a little disorganised when we arrive, but we later realised only some had good English language skills. The hotel paraceslus close enough to the hub of things to make walking into the centre an easy task, but it was far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. The rooms were clean and well looked after but small.

With a 6ft and KG husband we found the shower cubicle a nightmare. This was a wonderful and quaint hotel. It is tricky to get luggage in the front door as there are stairs. Also, there is not air conditioning. ,avabo rooms were clean with a little balcony. Breakfast is wonderful, but check to see if it is included. Flights Vacation Rentals Restaurants Things to do.
