But if you learn the little “white book” that’s in the milk that’s Tarot-speak for the instructionsyou will be able to use Aleister Duquette ‘s Thoth Deck after some practice, unless you happen not to like it.

The only chapter I appreciated was his discussion of guardian angels as it seemed to make some sense. Just because you love this deck doesnt mean that your path lies with Thelema although honestly in a less literal sense whose path is not their true Will? Well this is interesting and all in a hyper intellectual kind of way. Well, maybe he did, but the alternative of reading Croweley is so dense and chewy that I still think its a five star book.
I gave a couple of Running goes at Croweley’s own book on his Thoth dhquette, and slogged patiently and then skimmed mightily.
Atu XX The Aeon. Just as any book that is on this topic, understanding tends to further progress after reading and the book is closed. I basically stopped halfway through. This book is a must for those who really want to use and understand the Thoth tarot. I tried and tried but could make very little sense of the Book of Thoth. I have not looked back to my Rider-Waite deck since. I like how he makes complicated, obscure, tedious ramblings of Croweley comprehensible to me, and even practical and wonderful.

This book is more a beginner book even though the subjects touched are really complex, this is the first book one should read before the others.
Another thing this book does well is show the symbolic possibilities tarot offers us in helping us understand and meditate on our lives, world and narratives.
I sure have strayed from reviewing the book but I personally tried to get so into Crowley and came to realize I was a square forcing itself in a round hole.
Is it the definitive book? I only mention the part about not rushing to join a group because so many people do and then they discover its not the one they want or thorh dont want a group duquettee all.
This should be read in addition to Crowley, however, not instead ofobviously. So much wonderfulness to chew-on. For that, you want this book.
